Approaching Venice & Home sweet home

Saturday, 11st October 2014
After a week of sailing, we were back in Venice again and it was time to say goodbye. It's always hard saying goodbye after having such a great trip. But I guess the memories live and we have heaps of stories to share.

The Jade docked at Venice at approximately 7 in the morning. We packed up our stuff and had breakfast for the very last time at Garden Cafe. I can't tell you how much we're going to miss this luxurious buffet!

With our hand carry, we made our way to the port terminal to collect our luggage. I was impressed at how the disembarkation was really organised and efficient.

We then took the water taxi back to the hotel that we stayed at previously. They were so kind to allow us to leave our luggage for a couple of hours before we had to head off to the airport.

We were back on land again. No longer on the beautiful Norwegian Jade which I will truly miss.

With the gondola man

As our flight departed in the late afternoon, we managed to spend a few good hours just hanging around Venice city.

We go past this view almost every day when we're in Venice. Gosh, I miss this so dearly!

Can you spot that cheeky Italian man trying to mimic me?

Squeezed in a quick lunch which didn't taste great, yet costed us a bomb.

We were once back on the Alilaguna to head back to the airport.

All in all, a wonderful trip. We were blessed with great weather throughout our journey, except for Corfu obviously but we still had good fun.

This was our first time taking a cruise and I cannot recommend enough that you give it a go too. The crew, service, food and choices were simply amazing.

My husband and I also really enjoyed the entertainment, the pool area as well as the sun deck. We were basically happy with everything we experienced on board, particularly being a first timer, we had so much help and felt very comfortable and welcome throughout the trip.

But yay, finally HOME SWEET HOME!

Final day at sea on Norwegian Jade

Friday, 10th October 2014
Our Greek Isles journey has almost come to an end, and we had our final day on Jade heading back to Venice port tomorrow. The cruise experience was truly unique one, service was tip top. Overall our trip to the Aegean Islands in Greece was remarkable, it was so mesmerizing and really satisfying.

A sea day to relax was welcomed. Most of us slept in, enjoyed a late breakfast, explored the ship and participated in different kinds of activity on board. After breakfast, I just wandering around and snapped some 'food' pictures at Garden Cafe to pass my time!

'washy-washy, happy-happy', that's what he has been saying everyday whoever enter Garden Cafe .

I have to change the time an hour earlier to follow the local time.

She is one of the assistant chef, very friendly lady from St. Lucia, USA. Before I met her, I didn't know where is St Lucia located.

Enjoying ourselves at poolside by watching the ice-carving

We for sure miss 'Stardust' the most.

Our last sleep in our awesome cabin on Jade. We really didn't want the day to end. Tomorrow, we will be back in Venice.

Placing our luggage with color tags attached outside the stateroom by 11pm for the crew to collect and we get it back soon after we reach the terminal port at Venice the next day.

Cruise daily compass was delivered to us for the activity guide everyday.
